Based on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) Yalabin Dining offers fine dining and catering. Young chef Kieron Anderson is the owner and creator of Yalabin Dining. Influenced by his mother and aunties who worked in the catering and hospitality industry Kieron is dedicated to sharing Aboriginal culture through food experience.
The island of Minjerribah provides native food resources on land and sea that have been harvested by the Quandamooka people for thousands of years. With sacred stories and food practices passed down from Elders Kieron aims to also educate the wider community about Aboriginal culture. Yalabin Dining offers visitors to the island tours with native food sampling.
For our Virtual Meeanjin Festival Keiron will be doing two cooking demonstrations. These will be broadcast on our Facebook and YouTube pages on May 8 & 9 2020. Times will be announced soon so please keep checking for updates and the full program.
